Introduction


Brent Liang was born in New Zealand and raised in Shanghai, where he attended one of China’s best international schools and achieved an impressive 44/45 on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), in addition to winning international competitions. He was admitted to Sydney Law School, ranked 13th in the world and 3rd in Asia-Pacific, on a full scholarship to study Economics and Law. During his time there, he represented the university in various innovation programs, winning prestigious awards and even meeting President Bill Clinton. Brent previously worked at Goat Capital, a venture fund co-founded by Justin Kan, the founder of the world’s largest live-streaming site, Twitch, and Robin Chan, one of Silicon Valley’s top investors and the first investor in Uber and Twitter. He is also part of the founding team of a startup (Fractal / Stash) that has raised $35 million.
