Chongrui Zhao

Chongrui Zhao is a Principal UX Designer at Walmart and an international design awards juror with expertise in enterprise UX, AI-powered retail systems, and operational technology. He holds a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science.

His work focuses on inventory intelligence, retail operations, and associate-facing product experiences, including design efforts involving computer vision, RFID, and automation technologies. Previously, Chongrui designed key health technology experiences at Samsung, including ECG-related features across mobile devices and the Galaxy Watch.

Beyond his corporate work, Chongrui contributes to the broader design community through award judging, design talks, mentorship, and professional knowledge-sharing. He is passionate about using design and emerging technologies to solve complex real-world problems, improve everyday work experiences, and create products that balance user value, technical feasibility, and business impact.
