Georgina Steytler

Georgina Steytler is a self-taught nature photographer with a passion for birds, ethics and conversation.

Her enthusiasm for photography blossomed into a fervent passion more than a decade ago, prompted by her decision to leave her corporate job and embark on volunteer work with BirdLife WA. She has since then produced images freely offered to conservation organizations across Australia. She also imparts her knowledge of bird photography through workshops, presentations, and written pieces, emphasizing the art and ethics of this niche. She firmly believes that she carries a responsibility to minimize her impact and contribute to the preservation of the natural world. Her photographic philosophy is succinctly expressed in three words: "Art. Conservation. Ethics."

Steytler is dedicated to creating imagery for Australian conservation organizations without charge while also educating others on the intricacies of bird photography, its artistic elements, and ethical considerations through workshops, discussions, and written content.
