Haiying Lin is a pioneer in the digitization of traditional culture, dedicated to advancing the preservation and modern transformation of China’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH).
From 2018 to 2022, she built a strong foundation in the advertising industry as a Design Consultant and Senior Designer, leading visual branding and user experience initiatives for global brands such as Pentair (USA), Lewis Road (New Zealand), and Nature’s Bounty (USA). Since 2023, she has served as Marketing Manager at Shanghai Yinqi Information Technology Co., Ltd., driving digital innovation for the automotive sector. In 2024, she founded Shanghai Pearl Best Always Digital Technology Co., Ltd., where she leads efforts to digitally preserve bead embroidery, a form of China’s ICH, through the development of a Digital-Intelligent Twin-powered design system.
Haiying conducts interdisciplinary research focused on the modern transformation of ICH and Digital-Intelligent Twin of Culture, spanning areas such as digital bead embroidery, digital patchwork, and Dunhuang cultural creation. She also serves as Principal Investigator on a national project applying Digital-Intelligent Twin technology to bead embroidery, contributing to the development of technical standards for ICH digital preservation.
At the intersection of design, technology, and cultural heritage, Haiying is driving innovation that bridges traditional artistry with the digital age, fostering new opportunities for cultural IP development and industry transformation.
