Ishita is an associate urban designer and planner at Marvel, a multi-disciplinary practice based in New York, San Juan Puerto Rico, Richmond VA, and Barcelona, Spain. Ishita has extensive experience developing vision plans, master plans, concept designs and conducting community and stakeholder engagement. She is interested in the social, economic, and cultural conditions of cities and places, and their influence on the urban experience. Ishita aims to incorporate community and stakeholder engagement as a core process through design, ensuring diverse groups of community and stakeholders are included to build consensus through an inclusive outcome. She is on the Board of Directors for Snug Harbor, is the co-chair of the Junior Board for the non-profit Asia Initiatives, and is the recipient of the Urban Design Forum's Forefront Fellowship for the year 2018. Ishita was also a member of the Beverley Willis Architectural Foundation's Emerging Leaders Class of 2019.
