Jiali Liu

Jiali Liu, a distinguished public artist and interdisciplinary landscape designer, is currently the lead designer at SWA's Houston office in the United States. She holds a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture and a Sustainable Urbanism Certificate from Texas A&M University. Jiali has actively participated in numerous projects spanning from southern China to the United States and the Middle East, encompassing public green spaces, commercial developments, and private communities. Her profound expertise in landscape and public design is evident, earning her numerous accolades throughout her career. Her team has been honored three times with Texas and National Professional ASLA awards, showcasing her influence and creativity in the industry. Jiali firmly believes that as a public artist with a background in landscape design, she plays a crucial role in addressing ecological and social issues and creating vibrant and sustainable new living environments. Currently, she is focused on researching the applications of computational design in areas such as climate change, ecosystem restoration, resilient development, and urban regeneration in coastal areas. She strives to provide innovative interdisciplinary public art design solutions that bring positive ecological awareness and impact to address the global challenges today.
