Karla Reyes

Karla Reyes, an acclaimed game developer, serves as the founder and studio director of Anima Interactive, an emerging interactive media studio with a strong focus on social consciousness.

She also holds the role of a founding member and Head of Business Development at Code Coven, the global accelerator supporting underrepresented creators in media. With her diverse experiences, she has remained attuned to various sectors, ranging from indie and AAA to XR. Driven by a passion for leveraging the potential of games for positive social impact, she co-founded Square Enix RED, an employee resource group dedicated to promoting racial and ethnic diversity.

Reyes is dedicated to backing initiatives like UNEP's Playing for the Planet Alliance Green Game Jam and leading the production of Code Coven's Safe Spaces Now Game Jam in partnership with UN Women. Her unwavering commitment as an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion earned her many rewarding accolades.
