Introduction


Kerry Skarbakka is an American artist working across photography, performance, and installation, exploring themes of existence, control, identity, and human vulnerability. His work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Haifa Museum of Art, George Eastman Museum, Andy Warhol Museum, and Aperture Foundation.

A Creative Capital award recipient, Kerry has also received support from the Oregon Arts Commission, Ford Family Foundation, Illinois Arts Council, and the City of Seattle. He holds an MFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago and currently serves as Associate Professor of Photography and Head of the Photography and Digital Studio Program at Oregon State University.
