Lulin Shan

Lulin Shan is an award-winning Product Designer who combines innovation, functionality, and user-centered thinking in her work. With a background in landscape architecture and interaction design, Lulin brings a multidisciplinary perspective to every project, blending visual appeal with practical purpose.

Currently a UX/UI Designer III at Applied Medical, Lulin leads research and design for enterprise applications used by over 4,000 employees. In this role, she works closely with cross-functional teams to enhance data visualization, streamline workflows, and maintain robust design systems. Previously, as an Interaction Designer at HP, she redesigned the printer setup and onboarding experience, improving user satisfaction by 12%, and delivered consistent, responsive designs across mobile, desktop, web, and touch interfaces.

Guided by a philosophy that design should enrich daily life while addressing complex challenges, Lulin excels in creating solutions that resonate with users and drive measurable impact. Her work spans B2C and B2B products, mobile and web platforms, and emerging technologies such as robotics and AI.

Lulin holds a Master of Design from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the University of Southern California.
