Introduction


Surabhi Shastri boasts over a decade and a half of expertise in creating AI consumer products that have reached billions of users worldwide.

At present, she is leading the Search division at Instagram. Collaborating with top executives, she is instrumental in shaping the product strategy for IG Search, the world's most extensive visual search engine, with a user base exceeding 1 billion. Her strategic shift to focus on keyword searches has generated a new billion-dollar revenue stream for Meta.

Shastri significantly contributed to fighting misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 US Elections. Before Instagram, she crucially developed eBay's second major revenue stream, growing it to $400 million. As Head of Data Product, she helped secure $100 million in funding and a $1 billion acquisition, increasing the user base from 10 to 120 million. Surabhi holds an MBA from Columbia Business School as a full scholar, after completing her undergrad in computer engineering.
