Trevor Ward

Trevor Ward is a hospitality consultant with more than four decades of experience spanning hotel and resort development, operations and other advisory services. After graduating from the University of Surrey, he began his career in hotel operations before moving into consultancy in 1983.

Based in Nigeria since 2003, he has worked on hotel projects across 40 countries in Africa. His expertise includes hotel development appraisals, operator selection and contract negotiation, and litigation support, bringing deep regional knowledge and commercial insight to complex hospitality projects.

In 2018 he was awarded the inaugural Creating Impact Award for his Outstanding Contribution to Africa at Bench Events’ AHIF conference. In 2019 Trevor was recognised at the Pyne Hospitality Awards as Icon of the Year, in 2021 as one of the Top 30 Tourism & Hospitality Influencers in Africa, and in 2023 by the International Hospitality Institute as being one of the 100 Most Powerful People in African Hospitality and Travel.
