Vadim Kibardin, originally from Omsk, Russia, completed his Industrial Design studies at the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Art in Ekaterinburg in 1996. He founded KIBARDINDESIGN studio in 2000, engaging in the design of diverse products including consumer electronics, furniture, interiors, and film sets. Since relocating to Prague in 2005, his studio has begun producing and selling his trademarked goods globally. Kibardin's design ethos is centered on innovation and practicality, taking minimalism to new heights by distilling objects to their core elements. His explorative work with new ideas and materials results in artful, intelligent, and consistently inspirational creations. Renowned designer Ross Lovegrove has praised Kibardin for expanding his perception of Russian design. He is distinguished as the sole industrial design recipient of a grant from the German Chancellor. His career includes organizing and featuring in over 30 solo and group exhibitions.
