Introduction


Xu Hui, the chief architect of HYAD (Hui's Architecture Design), is a Doctor of Engineering, a graduate advisor, and an associate professor at Chongqing Jiaotong University.

In 2020, Hui completed his undergraduate to doctoral studies at Chongqing University, earning a Doctor of Engineering degree. He became an associate professor and graduate tutor at Chongqing Jiaotong University, the leading architect of the HYAD Studio, and is committed to academic research in architectural design and theory, computational urban design of high-density blocks, conservation and regeneration of built heritage, and regional ethnic architectural culture and technology.

In the year 2016,Hui established the HYAD Studio and, as the chief architect, has led and created more than 30 significant architectural design projects. These projects cover a range of scales and types, including national archaeological site protection, national historical and cultural cities, national key cultural relics protection units, urban and rural public cultural buildings, urban renewal, and rural revitalization.

Hui's philosophy revolves around the core concept of "cultural technology," aiming to achieve a new synergy between society, urban and rural areas, and the environment through the inheritance of local cultural traditions and the innovation of building materials technology.
