Introduction


Xudong Zhu is an internationally acclaimed architect and urban designer recognized for creating vibrant, sustainable, and culturally resonant spaces. He holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design (GSD), where he earned the Plimpton-Poorvu Design Prize, as well as dual master's degrees from Tongji University and Politecnico di Milano.

Xudong’s projects span scales and typologies, from winning competitions like the Yuyuan Plaza International Design Competition to earning gold at the Global Future Design Awards for Future Architecture. His work consistently blends creativity, functionality, and sustainability, positioning him as a leading voice in contemporary architecture.

Beyond practice, Xudong contributes to architectural discourse through research on urban heritage transformation and high-density city planning, presenting at conferences such as AESOP and ENHR. He has lectured at institutions like Tsinghua University and served as a guest critic at the Boston Architectural College.
